Hello Everyone, This is Silvio and this is my first blog entry, hopefully you will find it interesting and helpful if you are planning to visit the caribbian region of Colombia.
This short trip starts with a domestic flight from Bogota to Monteria, It cost around 140 - 150 usd we flew with Latam airline. The flight took
1 hour and 22 minutes. I and my girlfriend landed in Airport "Los Garzones" it is a small airport where You won't find too many markets. There is a food court where you can rest or wait until you can check-in in the counter.
In case you do not want to read about the whole experience these are the general prices and recommendation for tours and hotel

Motocarro centre of coveñas - Tolu: 30.000 COP - $6
TAXI Expreso Covenas - Monteria: 160.000 COP - $40
Coveñas is about 2 hours from Monteria so you can take a public transport or a taxi, I decided to take a taxi because you can go right away to coveñas while if you decide to use bus you will need to navigate to the bus station and it is not near to the airport.
You can use a private taxi called "Expreso" and it will cost you between 160.000- 180.000 COP ($40), there is another option where you can share the same taxi with other people and It will cost only (45.000 COP) per person. You save some money here =).
It was a smooth road trip, there was no traffic jam and the road is in a good condition, since It is a long trip, The driver made a stop to taste tipical food as breakfast, I tasted a delicious "Arepa'e Huevo" which is very common and popular for breakfast. It costs only 3.000 COP (<$1).
I'm sure you won't eat only one, I ate two of them and I'd go for a third If I could
You will notice that it is a hand made arepa and it is fresh and delicious.
I was eager in the queue waiting for my time to receive all my food.
We booked a hotel near to the beach in Covenas, It is called VAIA hte price is only 130.000 COP ($30) including breakfast. I will share the link where you can find all details about the hotel. https://vaiahoteles.com/, In general the rent a entire apartment, I'd highlight that they use Amazon Alexa to interact with the light bulbs, tv and air condition. It was an amazing place if you are travelling for work you will have enough space.
We spend the rest of the day in the beanch located in front of the hotel, these are some pictures.
Places to Visit
Titipan Island
The days started early in the mornig where we were picked up by a "torito" and it drove to the "embarcadero" where we receive bracelets and we tasted again a fantastic "Arepaa'e Huevo".
It's a magic place located around 1:40 minutes from coast, We found a fantastic beach with a clean sand. We made a couple of stops where the guide told us some facts about the different island (Mucura Island & Islote). The lunch was served by the tour agency and we return to Tolu at 3 pm
PALMA ISLAND
Since we made a small stop in this island, the guide told us that it is a private island and you need to pay in order to access this magic place, It is hotel where you can pay a single day and you have acces to the beanch, a free cocktail and buffet lunch.
It's a plan where you can relax in front of the beach, there are some activities like dance and volley. To be honest I spend the whole day laid down in a sunbath chair.
CIENAGA LA CAIMANERA
This is a small tour, it took around 4 hours and you can take it in the morning or afternoon. This is like a lake surronded by trees and crabs. We sail for 30 minutes and landed into a small floating construction where you can take a beer or eat a ice-cream and if you have a swimsuit you can swim in this beatifull place.
The guide told us that it name is due to that in the past there were alligators but they are not extinted, so, you can swim safetly.
